About Judge Mike Keith

Mike Keith was elected Justice of the Peace, Bossier Parish District 6 for the term beginning January 1, 2015. Mike is a 3rd generation JP for this Bossier Parish District, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather. Mike’s grandfather (Cullen B Keith, Sr) was elected during the 1940’s and held the office until his death in 1981, at which time Mike’s father (Cullen B Keith, Jr) became JP and held the office until 2014 when he retired due to health reasons. Mike’s goal is to serve the Parish with the same fortitude and quality of service provided by his forefathers.

Mike graduated from Haughton High School in 1975 and Louisiana Tech in 1980 with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. Mike began his working career at Southwestern Electric Power Company (SWEPCO) in Shreveport and has continued to work in the Utility Energy sector as a Program Manager and private consultant managing implementation projects worth millions of dollars.  Mike has worked and lived in many countries around the world, such as Thailand, United Kingdom, Netherlands, France, Dubai, and South Africa.

Mike is married to Jo Anne Harnage Keith. They have 3 children - Joey Keith, Julee Keith Botica, and Jennifer Aaron Boswell – and 6 grandchildren, 3 of which arrived on the same day. Mike and Jo Anne attend First Baptist Church of Haughton.
